Roger Landry, MD, MPH will be the featured speaker at the free Forum on Aging Successfully and Resource EXPO scheduled from 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. on Monday, May 18 at Pierce College, Puyallup in the Arts and Allied Health Bldg. Theatre.

The forum is presented by the Puyallup Area Aging in Community Committee in celebration of May as Older Americans Month and is open to the public of all ages. It is designed for older adults, those who have older family members and for those wanting to learn how to age successfully.

Landry is a nationally known preventive medicine physician and author of the award-winning “Live Long, Die Short: A Guide to Authentic Health and Successful Aging.” He will be speaking on How to “Achieve Authentic Health and Age Successfully.”

Using humor, Landry combines the latest aging research with real-life stories as he lays out an easy roadmap to find authentic health age successfully in today’s fast-moving world. He will share ten tips for healthy aging that everyone should know.

 

Forum panelists include Leon Khalsa, MA Psychology, MA Social Sciences, MA Public Policy Analysis, Professor of Psychology and Sociology, Pierce College, Puyallup and Charles A. Emlet, PhD, MSW, Professor of Social Work, University of Washington, Tacoma. The resource expo will offer information on important aging resources available in the area.
