Anthony’s Restaurants celebrates West Coast oysters in ways only a local restaurant company could with its annual March Oyster Festival. This month, featured fresh oysters carefully selected from cold, clean Pacific waters tempt, whether on the half shell, seared, baked, fried, and even wine-paired!

Those who like them raw will fawn over the Northwest selections served on the half shell: Olympia, Washington’s only native oyster from Lopez Island; Kumamoto; European Flat Oysters and a daily selection of assorted Pacific oysters such as Barron Point from South Puget Sound, Fulton Creek from Hood Canal and Anthony’s Select from Discovery Bay.

Throughout the month, oyster lovers can enjoy a perfectly paired bottle of one of these selected “Oyster Wines” from Washington state. Featured wines include the Cadaretta SBS, a Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc blend set to complement any oyster preparation perfectly, Chateau Ste. Michelle’s Columbia Valley Sauvignon Blanc, the Idilico Albarino, Sparkman Cellars’ “Pearl” Sauvignon Blanc and Hedges Family Estate “CMS” Sauvignon Blanc – all of which are the perfect companion to the briny flavor of the oysters. The selection of wines offered vary by restaurant.

Lunch and dinner items bring oyster classics and surprises. At lunch, try the Oyster Tacos, crispy seared oysters finished with salsa mayo, cabbage and roasted corn salsa wrapped in warm flour tortillas, or the Oyster Burger finished with lettuce, crisp bacon and tomato, served with French fries. At dinner, enjoy Crispy Seared Oysters or the Steak and Crispy Oyster dinner along with additional delicious oyster selections!

Oyster Happy Hour is available all day in the bar, including oyster specials beginning at $7, which includes Six-Pack Shot Glass Oyster Shooters, Oyster Sliders and Baked Oyster Classics. Are you a raw oyster fanatic? Flex those skills during the Friday Night Oyster Slurp, 6 p.m. in the lounge. Each Friday in March, slurp nine freshly shucked oysters, hands-free! Prizes to the fastest “slurper” (bronze, silver and gold medals) include Anthony’s gift certificates. Weekly medal winners will compete Friday, March 31st to determine the Champion Slurper!
