Cascade Regional Blood Services is in critical need of Platelets and O Positive blood due to a high use of blood products by our area hospitals and lower than normal collections. Cascade Regional Blood Services is calling on community members, of all blood types, to make an appointment at a donor center, located in Tacoma, Puyallup, and Federal Way, or at a mobile drive throughout the next few weeks. All donors will automatically be entered into a drawing for a $500 VISA or Amazon gift card and will receive an ‘Essential Blood Donor’ face mask.

“The high usage, combined with the fact that we have seen fewer donors over the past weeks, has left us seriously low on Platelets and several blood types, especially O Positive,” said Candy Morrison, Director of Communications and Marketing at Cascade Regional Blood Services. “We need our community to come together and help replenish the supply so we can provide lifesaving blood products to the patients in our area hospitals and be prepared in the event there are unexpected traumas in our community.”
