United Way of Pierce County Celebrates 101st Birthday in May with a Protein Food Drive

Help us celebrate by donating non-perishable food to feed families in need during Hunger Awareness Month.

Submitted by United Way of Pierce County

In May 2022, United Way of Pierce County is turning 101 years old! To continue a multi-year Centennial Campaign, help us celebrate by donating non-perishable food at our drive-up birthday party in conjunction with Hunger Awareness Month. We’ll have some fun gifts for the first 101 people to arrive and we’ll have music you can hear from your car. If you are unable to attend, you can make a monetary donation that will go directly to our goal of feeding 101 families.

We appreciate your non-perishable food donations to benefit Hunger-Free Pierce County food bank partners. We’re asking for any of the following items:

  • Peanut Butter or Nut Butters
  • Canned proteins (like chicken and tuna)
  • Spam
  • Chili
  • Beans
  • Grocery gift cards
  • Please* no expired food
