B&G Sponsored Events Announces May 18th Mother’s Day Bazaar
55+ crowd-pleasing vendors (including local authors) are already confirmed

B&G Sponsored Events will be hosting a Mother’s Day Bazaar on May 18th at First Christian Church (602 North Orchard Street, Tacoma 98406) from 10 am to 5 pm to honor mothers and all other primary caregivers who serve as maternal role models to young children, teenagers and elders.

“We know there are grandparents, dads, aunts, uncles, siblings and many other people serving as moms to youngsters and elders,” Bill Rocheleau says. “Gail and I think it’s high time to honor them all for the inestimable blessing they are to the people they care for.”

More than 55 local vendors have answered the call to attend and offer their appreciation and wares at the bazaar. There will be arts and crafts vendors, personal and professional product vendors, raffles, food and drink, and two local authors whose books should appeal to people of all ages.

Author Kris M. Smith, a Tacoma native, was a personal friend and assistant to actor DeForest Kelley of Star Trek fame during the final months of his life. Kris has written two books about their friendship and recently published a series of phone logs of their more than 1000 phone conversations that are sure to delight Star Trek fans. Kris will read excerpts from DeForest Kelley Up Close and Personal: A Harvest of Memories from the Fan Who Knew Him Best and will be happy to personalize copies to bazaar attendees who buy (or bring) any of her available titles.

Author Christopher Bailey is a local Juvenile and Young Adult author known for creating vivid, relatable characters and hidden subtexts. His goal is to introduce young readers to a life-long love of reading to help them discover the pleasure of losing themselves in a good book.

If you’d like to become a vendor at this event, you must reserve an outside 10’ x 10’ table for $75 no later than May 14th by emailing Gail at bokworm234@aol.com. The final remaining spaces are going fast, so email right away.
