Treat Yourself in Tacoma: Spas, Salons, Places to get Pampered

By Margo Greenman

One of my all time favorite episodes of Parks and Recreation is the one where Tom and Donna celebrate “Treat ‘Yoself” 2011.” A day dedicated to shopping, mimosas, “fine leather goods” and more, they don’t hold back when it comes to getting pampered on this special day. And, while their day of indulgence is absurdly over the top, the episode does serve as a good reminder that it’s okay to pamper – or, “treat yoself” – every now and then.

So, whether you feel like indulging in a girls day at the spa (just because), melting the stress away with a much needed massage, or are planning a “Bachelorette Pedi Party” for the bride-to-be, there are lots of places around the South Sound ready to meet all your pamper-centric needs.

Because of their popularity, Olympus Spa recommends calling ahead before you visit, as their calendar fills up fast. And, while Olympus Spa is just for the ladies, men can purchase a gift certificate perfect for pampering the special woman in their life.
