Mike’s background is in management, and his experience has taken him all around the world. But despite living and working in countries like Brazil and Turkey, Mike always felt close to the Pacific Northwest — after all, his wife grew up in Shelton and the couple even had a beach house on the Hood Canal while living overseas.
In the early 2000s, Mike and his wife moved back to Washington, but only in his mid 50s, Mike wasn’t ready to retire.
Mike ended up hiring a franchise broker who could help him find a local business for sale. Shortly after, he became the owner of Spring-Green. Mike says business doubled in the years following the purchase of the company, and it continues to grow. It persevered through the economic downturn that hit in 2008, and today Mike owns three Spring-Green franchises in Thurston, Lewis and Pierce Counties.
