KING 5 announced a South Sound partnership and collection site at America’s Car Museum for this year’s Home Team Harvest.

KING 5 will broadcast from six collection sites throughout the Puget Sound. Five of them are familiar to annual Home Team Harvest donors: Everett Mall, Northgate Mall, Redmond Town Center, US Bank (Puyallup) and Safeway (Kenmore).

New this year, KING 5 announced a South Sound partnership and collection site at America’s Car Museum.

The Museum’s location, along I-5 in the heart of Tacoma, puts Home Team Harvest in a highly visible position. Visitors and returning supporters will receive coupons for discounted admission in exchange for their donation at America’s Car Museum that day.

“America’s Car Museum and Northwest Harvest first partnered together in 2012 to help Drive Down Hunger in Pierce County by collecting non-perishable food donations, this partnership has grown into annual event in November,” said ACM CEO David Madeira. “We are thrilled to be expanding our partnership in 2015 as a new collection site for KING 5 Home Team Harvest to put the brakes on hunger across Washington.”

Here’s how you can help us reach five million meals for families in need this holiday season:

  • Receive $2 off ACM admission with donation of two non-perishable food items when you visit the Museum
  • Stop by ACM or one of the other donation sites on Saturday, December 5
  • Donate at your local US Bank
  • Purchase a $10 bag of food at Safeway/Albertsons locations
  • Visit Northwest Harvest’s website and make a contribution to the cause
