It’s the time of year when many people start thinking about their favorite things, and for some that might be raindrops on roses or whiskers on kittens, but for the Boggs Inspection Services team, their favorite things center around many of Thurston County’s beloved local businesses. From Tumwater to Lacey, CEO Dwayne Boggs and his team make it a priority to show lots of love to their fellow local businesses and they hope you will too. Pick up Some Delicious Eats

Located in Olympia, Left Bank Pastry is a French patisserie that produces delicious pastries the traditional French way—that means with care, skill, time and butter. A team favorite, Left Bank’s signature pastry, the Kouign Amann is a mainstay at most Boggs morning meetings.

A favorite of inspector Jon Mobly, The Bread Peddler is an artisan bakeshop offering scratch-made pastries to carry out or to eat in their downtown Olympia café. Their menu includes a variety of bread and pastries perfect to pair alongside coffee for breakfast or a freshly made soup or salad for lunch. You can pick up to go, or eat in.

Dwayne and Inspector Manager George Green swear by Vic’s Pizzeria. The popular Olympia pizza place serves up delicious pies with traditional and unique toppings from two locations in Olympia, one in the wildwood neighborhood and the other on the westside. They offer vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options as well. Carry out or sit down and enjoy a brew with your pizza.

Dine in at These Boggs Favorite Restaurants

When looking for a yummy breakfast or brunch, Client Care Coordinator Amanda Ramirez stops by Hash. The West Olympia “breakfast joint” serves up several varieties of breakfast hash as well as other tasty breakfast items, including traditional style breakfasts and unique fare like Hawaiian-inspired Loco Mocos.

Looking for excellent food and amazing customer service? Take a night out to Jean Pierre’s Three 16. Tucked away in Tumwater near the old brewery, Boggs Content Marketing Specialist Heather Derrick raves about the fine dining experience. “We had a team dinner there recently, and it was top-notch!” she says.

If you are looking for fantastic Italian food, Amanda recommends downtown Olympia’s Basilico Ristorante. The restaurant serves traditional cuisine with many gluten-free options as well as vegan choices.

Operations Director Ana Ramirez loves the many different dinner specialties at Octapas Café in Downtown Olympia. She is also a fan of their happy hour. On weekends, Octapas also serves breakfast and brunch.

Fun Things To Do In Olympia and Surrounding Areas

Olympia’s Aztec Lanes is a great place for family or friends. Both George and Heather love to take their families there to bowl a few games. Recently remodeled, the bowling alley offers bumper bowling, options for private parties and a snack bar.

George and Heather also like to take their kids to the Hands On Children’s Museum in downtown Olympia. With 150 exhibits for children of all ages and abilities, the museum is a perfect indoor playland that will bring out the kid in adults too.

Heather also recommends Captain Little, downtown Olympia’s quality toy shop. With a beautifully curated selection of fun and engaging toys, every visit is special. Captain Little also offers gift wrapping free of charge for every purchase.

Located just outside of Lacey, Lattin’s Country Cider Mill is a long-standing, popular local gem. The Boggs team recommends you try their delicious cider, doughnuts and other fun activities.

Incredible Service

Dwayne’s favorite area automotive service shop is Boss Auto Repair. He knows when he takes his vehicle in, he will receive great customer service from experienced professionals, and that means a lot to him.

Take some time to visit these great local businesses, and tell them the team at Boggs Inspection Services sent you. They may become some of your favorites, too!
