Tacoma’s Summer Blast

Excited to make a return after a two-year break, Tacoma’s Summer Blast is back and kicking off the 4th of July festivities all day at Point Ruston. This free event features food vendors, a craft market, two stages with live music and performances, as well as a family zone for kids, a beer garden, and of course, fireworks to end the celebration. The fun takes place at Cummings Park and the Cambia Legacy Lawn at Dune Peninsula for an unforgettable family-friendly event.

Dance the night away, eat delicious summer food, browse local art, and look up to the night sky for a mesmerizing firework display put on by the Emerald Queen Casino. Bring the family and friends for a community-wide celebration this 4th of July at Tacoma’s Summer Blast.

Fourth of July Hometown Celebration

Returning after three years to celebrate America is the 4th of July Hometown Celebration in Dupont. Start the day with the Historical Society’s Annual Pancake Breakfast at 8 a.m. Shortly after, enjoy the Hometown Parade at 10 a.m., followed by a packed celebration at Clocktower Park featuring live music, delicious food, arts, and local vendors. Don’t forget the Red, White & Blue Alley hosted by the Dupont Lions. Wrap up a fantastic day of celebrations with a beautiful firework display at dusk sponsored by the Northwest Landing COA at Patriot’s Landing. Those interested in vendor or parade opportunities can complete an online application as much help is needed to organize this community event. Head over to Dupont this 4th of July for a heartwarming day full of community pride for America.

July 4, registration opens at 7:30 a.m.

Venture out to Steilacoom and get active this 4th of July with the 33rd annual Four on the Fourth. Start the day bright and early with a four-mile run or walk featuring a scenic route along the waterfront. Prizes will be given to those best dressed, showing their patriotism. Sign-up costs are $15 for adults, and a one-mile course for kids is $5. Register online to take part in this fun event. Grab a festive event shirt available for purchase while completing the online registration through July 1. Following the run, find plenty of Independence Day celebrations, including a street fair, parade, and a firework display to mark the end of a fabulous day. Head over to the Four on the Fourth Celebrations this year in Steilacoom for patriotic fun.

Join the Tacoma Rainiers for the biggest night of the year, and the largest firework show offered all season at Cheney Stadium in Tacoma. Purchase tickets online to secure your seats to this exciting game against the Salt Lake Bees. Topping off a fantastic night of baseball is an unforgettable firework show that is larger than life. Kick off the Independence Day festivities a little early at Cheney Stadium with the annual July 3rd Extravaganza in Tacoma.

July 4, 5 – 10:15 p.m.

Open to DOD cardholders, and their guests is a wonderful evening of entertainment at Joint Base Lewis-McChord. Beginning at 5 p.m., head over to Cowan & Memorial Stadium for great food and a firework display that lights up the Tacoma sky. Fireworks will start at 10:15 p.m. to conclude the evening.

This Independence Day, explore the South Sound for some incredible celebrations. From a morning four-mile run in Steilacoom to a pancake breakfast in Dupont, Pierce County has a wide range of festivities sure to offer a fantastic time.
