When putting off a much-needed task, sometimes a little added bonus can be the deciding, driving factor. If you’re buying or selling a house or simply need a to-do list of annual maintenance, a detailed home inspection from Boggs Inspection Services is a game-changer. Schedule yours during the month of September and the team will make a donation to the Rachel Lynn Henley Foundation supporting families impacted by childhood cancer.
As with regular medical screenings, home inspections can catch and treat issues early. Use the annual Boggs fundraiser as your nudge to get both on the calendar today.

Schedule a Home Inspection and Boggs Will Donate to Families Impacted by Childhood Cancer
Over their long history in our community, Boggs Inspection Services has donated to many local causes. These include the Washington Autism Alliance, Partners in Education (PIE), Communities for a Healthy Bay, Women of Strength and the Rachel Lynn Henley Foundation.
Each September, they contribute to the Rachel Lynn Henley Foundation with each inspection they do. Owner Dwayne Boggs explains that he went through cancer six years ago and it was an awakening. “When I was going through the treatment process,” he says, “I thought to myself how confusing and painful this would be for a child. Around the same time, I had a high school friend tell me se lost her daughter to cancer so we decided to do something local and teamed up with the Henley Foundation.”
Over their two decades in business, Boggs has donated tens of thousands of dollars to local organizations throughout the region.
The Rachel Lynn Henley Foundation Brings Joy and Support to Children with Cancer
Mary Henley is the director and president of the Rachel Lynn Henley Foundation. But perhaps, most importantly, she’s Rachel’s mom. Donations like this are vital to the organization, and reliable, trusted, ongoing partnerships make day-to-day work run smoothly.
“We are grateful to the team at Boggs Inspection Services for their continued support through their September fundraiser,” says Henley. “Contributions raised through this Childhood Cancer Awareness Month fundraiser, and from other donations allow us to continue to bring smiles to young cancer fighters in our community, and let them, their families and their caregivers know that they are not alone in this fight.”
The Foundation initially started raising money for childhood cancer research, support and awareness. But they also work to enrich the lives of young cancer fighters by blessing them with personalized goods and goodies through Rachel’s Hugs.

Home Inspections with Boggs Inspection Services Become Rachel’s Hugs for Kids with Cancer
Rachel’s Hugs began in 2017. Mary Henley says that “every month we work with the Mary Bridge staff to identify the greatest needs of their patients. Whether it is an iPad to help with schoolwork or distracting games, a pet to keep them company, a bedroom makeover to help provide comfort or an airline ticket for a member of their family to come visit, we do our best to fulfill the greatest and most urgent needs of these kids and their families.”
Recent recipients include kids like Mariana, a 3 year old who received a new iPad, LEGO sets, stroller, trampoline, art supplies, bubble wands, cozy blanket, stuffed animals and other goodies.
12-year-old Liam asked for a bedroom makeover now that he no longer has to share with a sibling. Liam’s new space was painted a Fortnite-inspired purple and stocked remote-controlled color-changing lights, large desk space, comfy office chair and a cozy bed complete with food and beverage tray.
Little 2-year-old Rion was gifted a new iPad, bright blue protective case, and kid’s headphones, along with a box full of activity books, crayons, a cozy Sonic the Hedgehog blanket, fun socks and a variety of toys to make treatment days a little better.
