T?his winter we will be planting native trees and shrubs at our Anderson Island Protected Area. We need your help to remove invasive Himalayan blackberry to clear the site for planting.

This event requires you to drive your own vehicle onto the Anderson Island Ferry out of Steilacoom, WA (unless, of course, you happen to live close to or on Anderson Island). The ferry costs a little under $20 round trip for the driver and an average size vehicle (there is a senior discount).

Take the 8:20 ferry to Anderson Island. We will finish in time for you to take the 12:45PM return ferry. There are also 3:15PM and 4:25PM return ferries.

Once on the island, you will head to the worksite, following the directions sent to you via e-mail with your registration confirmation. The work site is a 10-minute drive from the ferry terminal.

Click the “Tickets” link to register through Eventbrite. You must register to receive directions to the worksite.

Work parties are rain or shine. Individual, pre-packaged, light snacks are provided. Minors are welcome provided they are accompanied by an adult.
