Maria Sampen, professor of violin at the University of Puget Sound, enjoys a vibrant career as concerto soloist, recitalist, chamber musician and teacher. Equally at home with repertoire ranging from classical to avant-garde to popular styles, Sampen has delighted audiences with her eclectic programs, her passionate performance style and her highly expressive playing. She has performed in Europe, Asia, Canada and all over the United States.

The School of Music is pleased to present the Jacobsen Series faculty recitals broadcast via Schneebeck LIVE this fall. Typically, Jacobsen concerts require tickets, however, due to the pandemic and restrictions on in-person events, we invite all to enjoy these inspiring performances free of charge. Optional tickets on sale to support music outreach and scholarships.
