Pierce County Habitat Stewards Training

The National Wildlife Federation is offering a specialized, multi-week online training to teach you how to help others create and restore wildlife habitat in backyards, schoolyards, and other private and public areas. You get to meet and interact with local conservation professionals and other similarly interested folks while participating in this engaging, fun and highly informative online program!

Benefits include: a comprehensive, digital training manual with local resources; instruction from local professionals; and continued support from NWF staff.

Expert speakers will present on topics such as:

-Gardening for wildlife
-Improving soil quality
-Habitat restoration
-Mushrooms and fungi
-Bird friendly gardening
-And much more!

Classes will take place May 25th, 27th, June 1st, and 3rd from 6:00 – 7:00 pm via a free video conference platform.

A COVID-safe School Yard Habitat installation field trip will be held Saturday, May 29th and Sunday, May 30th. Participants are asked to attend one, but are welcomed to attend both events.
