Support Black and Brown youth in Tacoma’s Major Taylor Project clubs by joining Cascade Bicycle Club on the Ride for Major Taylor. This is a fundraising ride that supports a way for youth to gain confidence, leadership skills, and bike knowledge as part of free after-school bike clubs in Tacoma and Seattle. This event is Cascade Bicycle Club’s biggest fundraiser of the year for these clubs.

The Ride for Major Taylor takes place April 23 from 7 am to 3 pm and offers 26 and 63-mile routes that are fully supported. The 63-mile route includes a journey through Tacoma and Pierce County along the Sound. Registration is $130 for Cascade members, $140 for non-members, and $30 for youth 18 and under (scholarships are available for adults and youth). Registration includes ferry fare, souvenirs, route support (mechanics, medical, etc), and a finisher meal with vegan and gluten-free options.
