Join us at The Grand Cinema for a screening of THE MOST DANGEROUS YEAR on Tuesday, May 21 at 1:30pm and 7:00pm as part of our Tuesday Film Series.

The documentary zeros in on Washington state, where a bill in the State Senate sought to repeal the rule allowing transgender people to use restrooms based on their gender identity. It chronicles a successful effort to introduce a transgender-inclusive policy in one school district. Filmmaker Vlada Knowlton captured the ensuing civil rights battle from the perspective of a group of embattled parents—including herself and her husband, parents of a young trans girl—fighting to protect their children from discriminatory laws in their home state.

Director Vlada Knowlton and Lisa Keating (My Purple Umbrella) will be leading a panel discussion after the 7pm showing.
