
In commemoration of the 250th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, and Black History Month, The Buffalo Soldiers Museum will host an event open to the the public program is designed to illustrate and illuminate the historical significance of this foundational American document. We will honor the contributions of American freedom to inspire a contemporary understanding of our nation’s enduring journey towards freedom. The event will be free and open to the public. The Tacoma event will be held on February 19th from 5PM – 8 PM at the Washington State History Museum featuring a play by Tacoma Little Theater “MLK The Mountain Top“ fostering civic engagement, historical appreciation, and a shared understanding of national identity. This shared understanding will be rooted in both our triumphs as a nation and our ongoing pursuit of a more perfect union.
