SoulFull Festival

The second annual SoulFull Festival will take place on Saturday, September 6, 2025, from 12:00–8:00 PM, Downtown on Broadway between 9th and 11th at 917 S Broadway, Tacoma WA 98405. This free community event celebrates the richness of Neo Soul Music, soul food, culture, and the arts through food, live performances, and interactive experiences for all ages.

The SoulFull Festival brings together local and non-local BIPOC-owned food businesses alongside musicians, dancers, and artists to highlight the vibrancy and diversity of the African diaspora. Festival-goers can enjoy traditional and contemporary foods—including Southern Soul
Food, Jamaican, Trinidadian, Korean Cheese Dogs, Desserts and more! —while exploring music, art, and cultural performances.
The 2025 festival lineup includes Tacomas Poet Laureate Mari G. The Vision Step Team, JUA, IMANI, Grit City Cypher, Author Bonita Lee, Jaminah Shannon. From Line dancing, step performances to jazz, neo-soul, and hip-hop, the stage will be alive with movement and sound. Interactive activities such as line dancing, MixxedFit dance, Cypher open mic, carnival games, and small business vendors will make this festival an immersive celebration.

“Our mission with SoulFull Festival is to create a space where food, art, and community come together,” said festival founder Mari G. “This festival isn’t just about eating—it’s about affirming culture, celebrating creativity, and supporting small businesses.” The SoulFull Festival is produced by The Black Night Market and Tacoma Arts Live. The event is supported by Mattice Beauty Supply, Tacoma Black Fund, Tacoma Venues & Events and the Tacoma Arts Commission. The event is free and open to the public.
