What’s better than a weekend of loud engines, chrome, and cash? Nothing! So be sure to head to the annual Show N Shine Car Show happening at Quinault Beach Resort & Casino in Ocean Shores October 1-2, 2021. Whether you have a car to show, or just want to admire some seriously awesome wheels, this is the place to be. Plus, you just might get lucky and win some big prizes!
Show N Shine is put on by Push Rods of Hoquiam, a car club that has been in Grays Harbor since 1953. The Club is all about car enthusiasts, with an emphasis on street rodding and racing. The Show N Shine event acts as a fundraiser for the club, with proceeds going toward their scholarship fund, as well as other supported charities including Aberdeen High School Auto Shop, The Meals on Wheels Program, and the Center for domestic violence. Their two scholarships are for Grays Harbor College students with an interest in auto and business.
So come out for a good time that supports a great cause, it’s free to just come and check out the cars, but we are pretty sure you are going to want to get in on the fun too!
The weekend’s fun kicks off with the Poker Run on October 1. The Run begins at 12 p.m. and ends at 4 p.m. Quinault Beach Resort & Casino, a sponsor of Show N Shine, is the start and end of the run. “The participants make four stops in Ocean Shores returning to QBRC for their final card,” says Tony Halekakis of Push Rods. “They can buy an additional card for $1 as well as additional playing forms at the start for $1 each. First prize for best hand is a one-night stay and dinner at QBRC, second prize is $50.”
The Show N Shine car show is one of the largest in the area, with a big turnout and even bigger prizes!
