Service with a Smile at A Steve’s Professional Truck Mounted Steam Cleaning

Over his 30 years of experience in the industry, Steve Short, owner of A Steve's Professional Truck Mounted Steam Cleaning, has cultivated a strong customer base — a testament to his top-notch customer service.

A good business partnership is like a good friendship. You depend on each other, help each other, and maybe even enjoy a few rounds of golf together from time to time. For more than 15 years, this is the relationship that Steve Short of A Steve’s Professional Truck Mounted Steam Cleaning has had with Andrew Barkis, owner of Hometown Property Management in Olympia.

Hometown Property Management currently manages more than 1,200 home in the Olympia area. In any given month, Steve cleans anywhere from 50 to 70 of the carpets in those homes. It’s a big job, but someone has to do it, and Steve proved himself as the right person for the job in the late ‘90s when he first started working with Andrew.

Andrew recalls the first time he met Steve. It was 1996 and Steve came into the office, which at the time was Century 21 Hometown Property Management, and introduced himself. “He came in, we tried him, and he’s just phenomenal,” says Andrew. “His services are so good.”

Andrew says he got to know Steve better over the years through their involvement with the local chapter of the National Association of Residential Property Managers (NARPM). Through regular NARPM meetings, the two got to know each other on a more personal level. They’ve been friends ever since.

In addition to great customer service, Steve Short also uses the highest quality equipment.

While it was the quality of Steve’s work that led Andrew to hire him as Hometown Property Management’s go-to carpet cleaner, Andrew says it’s Steve’s character that led them to their friendship. “First and foremost, the quality of his work is number one,” says Andrew. “He’s top notch. But more than that, he’s a great man.”

Andrew says he’s enjoyed working with Steve at Hometown Property Management, seeing him in the community at chamber meetings, and even playing a few rounds of golf on the green. He’s a great partner in business and friendship.

But Andrew’s opinion of Steve is one shared by many in the community. While his hard work ethic and industry expertise make him a trusted choice for commercial and residential carpet cleaning, it’s Steve’s personality that people love the most. “He’s just a good man,” says Andrew.

With more than 30 years of experience cleaning carpets in Thurston County, A Steve’s Professional Truck Mounted Steam Cleaning is a trusted choice for commercial and residential carpet cleaning in Thurston County. And Steve’s service always comes with a smile.
