Meet Junior, one of our pint-sized recipients. This charming little guy was a healthy and energetic little three-year-old until the end of November. Junior became ill and was ultimately diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL); which typically affects the B cells in children. Junior is a brave little boy and is battling this cancer with all his might. He has received several units of platelets and red blood cells at Mary Bridge Hospital, where he is currently being treated.

Junior will need platelets and red blood cells for an undetermined period of time, depending on how his body reacts to the transfusions and the aggressiveness of the disease. He is O positive and could certainly use your generous blood donations to help combat this forceful cancer.

Cascade Regional Blood Services (CRBS) is the sole provider of blood products to MultiCare Health Systems, which includes Mary Bridge. We count on the generosity of donors to keep the hospitals stocked with a steady supply of blood products. To learn more about platelets, red blood cells, and how you can help provide lifesaving blood products, please visit the CRBS website.

Roll-up your sleeves, give the gift of life, and be a holiday hero this holiday season. CRBS have three convenient locations in Tacoma, Federal Way, and Puyallup. You can set your date to donate online here.
