Finding the right house to fit you and your family may mean the difference between making a home and just making do. Angela Eagleston, a real estate agent with Van Dorm Realty, has found the perfect method for matching her clients with the right home.  “Helping a client find the perfect home is a bit like playing matchmaker,” she says.

The Secret to Success

Helping buyers find a home is an intimate process. “This is a relationship business,” says Angela. For that reason, she takes the time to get to know her clients, to really understand what is important to them. When Angela steps into their lives and begins to understand what the clients need, she can use her skills in the real estate industry to zero in on properties that are the best match for them. “I’m always looking out for my clients and their best interests,” she adds.

Finding the perfect home isn’t always love at first sight. “Every individual is different and their timelines are all different,” says Angela. “For some, it helps to shop around and look at houses for a while,” she says. Whether it’s 3 homes or 30, Angela is happy to show her clients as many as it takes for them to find the right one. Looking at many different homes gives clients a better perspective of what they want, and, more importantly, what they don’t want. “So, when they find the right one, they are really sure,” says Angela. “When you know, you know.”

Missed Opportunities Open New Doors

It’s no secret that the housing market is hot in the Puget Sound region. Home inventory can seem woefully low, but Angela doesn’t want that to dissuade her clients. New homes become available all the time. Sometimes buyers miss out on a home when they find it too late, after another offer has been accepted or they lose out on a bidding war.  “In one case, we looked at a lot of houses and made several offers that weren’t accepted,” says Angela, “and the buyers became frustrated with missing out.” They decided it was time to take a small break from the search. “Nine months later, we started looking again, and this time we were able to find the right home and get an accepted offer.”

Sometimes the speed that the market moves can make clients a little too excited to jump in headfirst. “I’m not ashamed to say, I’ve talked clients out of buying a home that I knew wasn’t right for them,” she says. Later Angela and those homeowners were able to find the real right fit, and they were glad that they didn’t rush into the first buy. Patience and perseverance are keys to finding the right home for your family.

Connecting with other Industry Experts

Angela doesn’t just develop relationships with her clients, she also works with other industry professionals like the home inspection experts at Boggs Inspection Services. “I trust Boggs Inspection Services,” she says. Angela works with Boggs because no matter which inspector she works with, she knows that her clients are getting a high-quality inspection from a friendly expert in the field. “My clients trust me to refer them to a professional with their best interests in mind, and I work hard to keep that trust,” says Angela.

Angela Eagleston has found homes for clients in Thurston, Pierce, Mason and Lewis counties. “I’m passionate about the relationships I form with people,” she says, “and I look forward to helping new clients through the home buying process.” If you would like to work with Angela to find the home that is perfect for you, give her a call at 360-545-7088, or email her through her Van Dorm Realty contact page.
