Join us on Saturday, September 19th for Community Kids Day, featuring a wide variety of entertainment and activities for kids of all ages! The fun begins at 10:00am and lasts until 2:00pm, with games, arts and crafts, storytelling, face painting, raffle prizes and much, much more. Learning stations, hosted by a variety of community organizations, focus on the many educational aspects of gardens, nature and the great outdoors. Kiwanis Club of Clover Park will sell grilled hot dog meals for just $5; West Pierce Fire & Rescue exhibits one of its engines and Lakewood Police provide a fully-loaded squad car; and at 12 noon Rhubarb, the Tacoma Rainiers’ Mascot, will make a special appearance! Admission is just $1 per person OR donation of a toiletry item to benefit the Lakewood Area Shelter Assoc., providing services to women and children in transition.
