Heritage Skills Workshop: Beekeeping

his workshop will cover the basics to successfully rear honeybees at home.

Topics will include hive types and materials and participants will construct and tend hives located in Pt. Defiance Park to gain practical knowledge. Local experts and students from Tacoma’s Science and Math Institute will be present to answer questions and offer opportunities to expand your apiary community. Ages 16 and older. Pre-registration required.
