Pierce College Theatre Presents “5 Lesbians Eating a Quiche”

pierce college 5 lesbians eating quicheIt’s 1956, and the widows of the Susan B. Anthony Society for the Sisters of Gertrude Stein are holding their annual breakfast meeting, where the highly anticipated prize-winning quiche will be declared.

The unexpected threat of an atomic bomb, however, forces the women to reevaluate and share their darkest secrets before making some not-so-shocking confessions.

In this raucous, edgy comedy, the audience finds themselves a part of the show, members of the club and, yes, even lovers of quiche.

Each member of the audience is given a nametag upon their arrival to the theater, and ultimately participates in this community meeting, led by the actors.

The fast-paced production features a number of twists and turns, but beware: this is not a family friendly show, and it’s most likely inappropriate for children under 13.

“If this show doesn’t offend you so much that you walk out, then you’ll end up rolling on the floor laughing through the entire production,” said Director Fred Metzger.

The production, written by Evan Linder and Andrew Hobgood, appeared off-Broadway and was named the Best Overall Production at the 2012 NYC International Fringe Festival.

Pierce College Fort Steilacoom Theatre’s production of 5 Lesbians Eating a Quiche will run February 20–21 and 27–28 at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are available for $3 for general admission, or $2 for students. Tickets will be available at the door, and can also be purchased in the Student Life office at Pierce College Fort Steilacoom from 9:00 a.m–11:00 a.m. or noon–2:00 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays.
