The Courtyard Marriott Tacoma is designed in a unique way compared to most other Courtyard by Marriott hotels in the chain. The swanky design of this particular Courtyard provides an upscale atmosphere with a touch of romantic appeal. The architecture in the lobby features a spiral staircase and an open floorplan that is inviting and relaxing.
Bedez Carter, director of sales for Courtyard Marriott Tacoma, believes guests choose this hotel for its unique appeal and amazing guest service. All Courtyard by Marriott hotels are lovely, but this one has something very special that she thinks only Tacoma can bring out.
Bedez has been part of the Courtyard Marriott Tacoma team since June of 2017. “I am extremely proud to be back in the Tacoma market,” she says. “Tacoma is really rejuvenated and on fire! I am so excited to be a part of that.” Bedez leads the sales team with two other sales managers, Carol Pica and Jessica Odd, and works closely with general manager Danielle Cavato.
The hotel is not only perfect for a getaway or business trip, but also as an event destination. Events such as weddings, parties and business meetings are regularly held at the hotel for guests and local or visiting businesses. The hotel offers over 6,000 square feet of event space and is perfect for small or large events and meetings. This Cascade Ballroom can be sectioned off into three smaller rooms if needed. There is also a smaller meeting space, called the Olympic Boardroom, adjacent to the lobby. The Olympic Boardroom features an elegant design and a sophisticated space ideal for meetings. In addition to great meeting spaces, the hotel offers complimentary high-speed Internet, a fitness room, indoor pool, spa and onsite laundry services.
The Courtyard by Marriott is the official hotel sponsor of the NFL. Each game day – which are Sundays, Mondays and Thursdays – the staff wear black NFL shirts to support the sponsorship. Although our local boys in blue and green are a staff favorite, any team’s fans are welcome to celebrated at this Tacoma hotel. The hotel is ramped up for the 2017 NFL season as the team shows their pride in working for the official NFL sponsored hotel.
The bistro within the Courtyard Marriott Tacoma also provides a way to celebrate the new NFL sponsorship. Among the many delicious food options, flatbread specials are available on game days. Starbucks coffee is available daily until 10:00 p.m. The bistro is open to the public.
