Designed as a jumping off point for regular dojo membership, participants can join regular dojo classes at any time – before, during, or after the series.
No experience or equipment is necessary. Wear loose clothes that cover the knees and elbows and bring an open mind. A woman-led dojo, Tacoma Aikikai is committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive space, mutually respecting people of all race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, background, faith, age, and ability.
Cost: $100. Sliding scale fees available and no one turned away for lack of funds.
