Join Habitat for Humanity at the Grand Cinema on November 14 at 6:00 p.m. for a special screening of Ixcanul.

Ixcanul tells the story of a young Guatemalan woman, María, at odds with her cultural tradition and the modern world. María once dreamed of traveling to America, but after a shocking change of events she is forced to reevaluate her situation. Director Jayro Bustamante leaves audiences speechless with this masterfully crafted film.

Following the screening we’ll host a short, panel discussion on the film and ways that community members can join Habitat for Humanity in supporting housing and health access in Guatemala.

Admission is free, but a $10 donation is suggested and appreciated.
