Celebrated trumpeter Jens Lindemann—a longtime member of the famed Canadian Brass— and acclaimed vocalist Stephanie Porter will be the featured soloists at Symphony Tacoma’s Symphony Sweethearts concert, taking place at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 22 at Tacoma’s Pantages Theater. Conducted by Sarah Ioannides, the performance will include favorites like “Themes from 007,” “My Funny Valentine,” “St. Louis Blues,” “You Made Me Love You,” “Stardust,” “Over the Rainbow,” a medley of Duke Ellington tunes and many others. Symphony Tacoma will be joined by the Pacific Lutheran University Jazz Ensemble, directed by David Deacon-Joyner.
