Tacoma Community House Welcomes Timothy Close as New Director of Development & Communications

Tim CloseTacoma Community House (TCH) is delighted to announce the hiring of Timothy Close as director of development and dommunications. He comes to TCH after six years as the executive director of the Museum of Glass where he was responsible managing a $5.2 million budget and expanded one of the largest contemporary glass museums. For the past year and a half, Close has served as a volunteer at Hospitality Kitchen and as an independent consultant to Community Health Care. Close joins TCH with more than 20 years of experience in executive leadership and a strong background in directing non-profit fundraising, strategic planning, and communications.

As director of development and communications, Close joins the leadership team with responsibility for generating support for the non-profit organization by fundraising from individuals, corporations, government, and institutional funders and by marketing TCH to stakeholders and the public. Close shares, “I am thrilled to join an organization with a commitment of providing comprehensive wrap-around services to help individuals transition out of poverty, navigate a new culture, and be successful in their lives.”
